In the last decade, as UNLV has grown and become more complex, the ability of the Nevada Legislature to fully fund all of the programs at UNLV has declined dramatically. As a non-profit entity and the one of the few free admission museums in Clark County, it becomes increasingly difficult to operate in the face of reduced state support.

Private funds are vital to enable the Marjorie Barrick Museum to continue to provide a valuable service to the community.

When you show your support through the Friends of the Museum gift club, your annual membership dues enable the museum to:

• Offer opportunities to view special exhibitions;

• Provide UNLV students and faculty, and the community access to rare collections;

• Offer a wide range of educational resources to help local educators develop a connection between their curriculum and the museum's collections and special exhibitions; and,

• Remain the only museum in Clark County that does not charge admission.

Continued support from corporate or private donors allows us to continue providing such valuable services to the community.

Your gift to the museum is more than just a donation - it's an investment in a community partnership. As members, Friends of the Museum will receive the following benefits:

• Collector's circle members receive a behing-the-scenes tour;

• Conservator's Circle members receive a behing-the-scenes tour and will be invited to special events;

• Curator's Circle members receive a behind-the-scenes tour, invitations to special events, and special Marjorie Barrick Museum apparel; and,

• Director's Circle members receive a behind-the-scenes tour, iniations to special events, special Marjorie Barrick Museum apparel, and special recognition on the museum's donor wall.

Memberships are effective for one year from the date the application is received. Current members will receive a reminder shortly before membership expires.
