INSECT: LOAN POLICY

In general, our collection policy follows that outlined in Arnett et. al (1993). Insect and Spider Collections of the world, 2nd ed. Loans will be made to qualified researchers who should address their requests to the Curator of Entomology, Dr. William Pratt. Students must have their request signed by an advisor.

Since our collection is maintained electronically, our policy does depart from the standard in that we will provide locality and ecological data as a printout or electronically upon request from the qualified researcher or student.

We do not retain type material in our collection. Borrowers will be requested to deposit types in a public collection to be determined when the issue arises.
