Title of Data: Vibrator Data Collected on the Pad at the Borehole UE-25 UZ #16.
Description: The University of Texas, Austin ran a Liquidator truck mounted vibrator on the UZ #16 borehole pad on June 10, 2005, over an approximately 20 minute time period. The data is recorded on 63 channels of the UZ #16 borehole; data is recorded at 200 samples per second and is in 16 bit time-series records. The record for each channel is 30 minutes in duration. Data is in SAC ASCII format.

Comments: The borehole UZ #16 data acquisition system came on-line in May of 2005 and although the project is being conducted under a scientific notebook, there are discrepencies in borehole depths based on reports from the 1980's when UZ #16 was installed. These discrepencies are being resolved. Complete system checks of UZ #16 geophone amplitudes have yet to be conducted; some system performance has been evaluated and documented in the scientific notebook. The data is raw data collected from the multi-channel recorder and converted to SAC ASCII format with SAC software routines. The raw data is time-stamped via a local GPS clock and a one second time-mark is digitized on channel one for confirmation of internal time accuracy within the multi-channel data stream. Geophone response information is available in USGS reports documented in the report associated with this submittal. Data can be used for phase correlation analysis, however absolute amplitude geophone system checks have yet to be performed.

SAC 00.46 (10085-00.46-00)
Acquisition/Development Method: Data was collected on a PC-104 multi-channel (64 channel) 16-bit data acquisition system with data transmitted in real time to the University of Nevada, Reno Seismological Laboratory and recorded in the Antelope Seismic Processing System.
Location(s): Data collected at borehole UZ #16 at 21, 3-component geophones within the borehole. UZ #16 is located within the Yucca Mountain repository block.
Start/End Period: 06/10/2005 - 06/10/2005
Other Management Information: These data were acquired or developed under project activity ORD-FY04-006 of the NSHE/YMP Cooperative Agreement # DE-FC28-04RW12232.
