HRC >> Chemistry
The Chemistry Division of the HRC supports multi-disciplinary research , provides expertise to solve complex environmental problems, and develops innovative environmental monitoring technologies. The team consisting of chemists and environmental scientists has recently been involved in studies determining the flow patterns of southern Nevada groundwater, measuring trace elements in Las Vegas Wash water, sediments, and biota, developing methods for the rapid analyses of airborne plutonium, monitoring the impact of earthquake events on groundwater near Yucca Mountain, and coupling instruments for speciation analyses. This website contains information on our research instrumentation and capabilities, personnel, and various research programs.
