In accordance with a mandate from the United States Department of Energy, the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies has established the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Quality Assurance Program. This university-based program provides quality assurance services which are available for implementation for both private and public organizations.

The NSHE Quality Assurance Program is staffed with certified professionals from government, academia, and industry that provide a full range of affordable quality assurance services including records management, document and data control, training, and auditing services. The Program specializes in assisting smaller organizations who have no previous quality assurance experience.

Work conducted under the NSHE Quality Assurance Program has included laboratory and field studies from a wide range of scientific and engineering disciplines at numerous institutions throughout the United States.
